Cremona, May 20 — The second day of competition at the NRHA European Futurity held in Cremona, Italy, welcomed the first section of the $700,000-Added Open and the second section of the $300,000-Added Non Pro Futurity where finalists were determined.
Holding the lead with a 220 score from the first section in the $144,000-Added Level (L)4 was Anna-Maria Zehetbauer and SS Tarzan (NRHA $4 Million Dollar Sire Pale Face Dunnit x Xtra Taris Voodoo), owned and nominated by her family’s Zeidelhof Reining Horses. With the talented gelding between the reins, the Austrian rider has amassed over $64,600 in NRHA competition. In 2025, the pair collected the Italian Futurity L4 Non Pro Championship as well as the Belgium Non Pro Futurity and NRHA L4 Non Pro Reserve Championships.

Topping the $84,000-Added L3 was Manuel Bonzano riding Magnum Sandwich Rico (NRHA $14 Million Dollar Sire Magnum Chic Dream x Sanditch Rooster 023), a mare bred by Elisa Dellafiore, owned and nominated by 23 Quarter Horses. The duo scored a 219.

Leading the $45,000-Added L2 and $27,000-Added L1 divisions, after performing to a 216 score, was Stefano Carpentieri and his own Trend Starter (A Vintage Smoke x Slide By Spook), a gelding bred by Lorenzo Lotti and nominated by Sebastiano Valtorta.
Bubble scores for the Non Pro Finals:
Level 4: 213 (15 finalists + ties)
Level 3: 210.5 (15 finalists + ties)
Level 2: 209 (15 finalists + ties)
Level 1: 208 (10 finalists + ties)
APHA Chrome Cash Finalists:
Chrome Cash saw a total of 35 entries across the four levels with a total of 5 making the L4 Finals, four in the L3 and L2, and three in the L1.

The Euro Futurity Non Pro Finals will be held on Friday, May 22, with the L4 Non Pro Champion receiving a guaranteed paycheck of $50,000.
The Open Futurity
The L4 high score (221) high score in the first section of the Open division — counting 290 entries across the four levels, and 71 entries across the four levels in the APHA Chrome Cash — was Italian Professional Davide Brighenti riding Y Ruffycrushmeout (NRHA Million Dollar Sire PS Mega Shine Chic x Not Ruf Me Out), a stallion owned Luigi Servidati and nominated by Y Quarter Horses.

· Morey Fisk is the only rider to have won the L4 Open Championship three consecutive years.
· Ann Fonck is the only lady reiner to have won the L4 Open Championship clinching the title twice.
· Manuel Cortesi is the only rider to have won the L4 Open title twice, as well as the Non Pro Championship in 2011 riding his own PC Sliderina For Me.
· Mirko Midili, Rudi Kronsteiner, and Bernard Fonck took the L4 Open win twice.
· Walla Walla Whiz, owned by Arcese QH USA, is the only sire to have produced two NRHA L4 European Futurity Open Champions.
The second section of the Open Qualifier will be held on Thursday, May 21.
The Open Finals will close the CremonaFiere event on Saturday, May 23. The L4 Open Champion will receive a guaranteed paycheck of $100,000.

The NRHA European Futurity is hosted during the 39th edition of the Salone del Cavallo Americano at CremonaFiere. The fair has expanded by another 10%, confirming its position as Europe’s leading Western event covering 100,000 square meters, welcoming 700 horses and 1000 riders, 270 exhibitors, and over 30,000 spectators expected.
